The Wirehaired Vizsla (WV) hails from Hungary where it was developed as a versatile hunting dog. Wirehaired Vizslas are similar to Vizslas, but with a distinctly rough, wiry coat and an outstanding red color. Wirehaired Vizslas are highly companionable and bond closely with their pack, making them excellent family dogs. They are also loyal and gentle, enjoy spending time indoors, and are known to be cushiony lap dogs. WVs also enjoy outdoor play and swimming, and make good companions for families looking for a pet to play or hunt with.
