Originally a British hunting dog, the Wire Fox Terrier is an admirable working dog as well as a skilled show dog. Quite small at just 15-18 pounds, these dogs are packed with energy and extremely alert. Their fur is—as promised—quite rough and wiry and does not shed heavily. Like its cousin breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier is instinctively inclined to chase prey. Happy to run and play with kids or spend a bit of quiet time with seniors, these dogs also make wonderful family members!
