The Weimaraner is native to Germany, where it was originally used as a big game hunting dog. They are still hunting companions today. Weimaraners are very athletic, so they need a lot of space to run around and burn off that boisterous energy. Friendly with people, kids and other dogs, this breed can grow up to 27 inches tall and weigh up to 85 pounds. They are best suited for larger homes with lots of yard space.
