Kentucky’s Treeing Walker Coonhound has been favourited to become the state’s official dog breed! Bred to hunt small prey and keep them “treed” until a hunting companion arrives, these dogs have a natural prey drive that might cause trouble in a multi-pet household. Weighing in at 50 to 70 pounds fully grown, the Treeing Walker Coonhound needs plenty of space to move around. Make sure to put in a tall, sturdy fence to keep yours from zooming away after small animals!
