The Standard Schnauzer is the original variety of the Schnauzer breed, which normally grows to between 35 and 45 pounds. Potentially a little stubborn, the Standard Schnauzer—like its Miniature and Giant iterations—needs early socialization to develop the manners to match its gentlemanly silhouette. Usually groomed to enhance their heavy eyebrows and whiskers, these dogs make wonderful pets and athletic competitors. All Schnauzers love to run, play and investigate their neighbourhoods.
