Standing up to 48 centimetres high and weighing up to 18 kilograms, the dynamic Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier has been described as an iron fist in a velvet glove. Originally from Ireland, these dogs look like your average terrier but with a soft wavy coat the colour of ripening wheat. Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers are low-shedding dogs with a natural inclination to run and chase small creatures. Train your wheaten terrier carefully and socialize it early if you want it to share your home with other pets! Daily exercise and play is very important for this breed.
