The Silken Windhound is a breed of sighthound that was developed in the United States. A small to medium breed, Windhounds weigh between 15 to 35 pounds. They have a short, silky coat that may be a solid colour or a mixture of black, blue, red, cream and brindle. Silkens make friendly house pets as well as talented athletes and competitors. Don’t count on them to guard the house, as they’re more likely to welcome visitors than to raise the alarm!
