The Shollie is a mix of two purebred dogs, the German Shepherd and the Border Collie. Often employed as working dogs, Shollies can vary greatly in appearance, depending on which traits they inherit from their parent breeds. Usually weighing between 30 to 80 pounds, these dogs make excellent herders, search and rescue dogs, and service animals. Always eager to please, a well-trained Shollie makes a lovely house pet so long as you make sure it gets the exercise it needs every day.
