This breed is a cross between the Chihuahua and the Shih Tzu. It's a small dog, reaching between 7 and 10 inches in height and weighing around 3 to 9 pounds when fully grown. Shih-Chis are energetic and love being trained with positive reinforcement and interesting games. Loyal and even a little possessive, these dogs are fine in an apartment or a house with yard space. They need plenty of exercise and socialization with young children and other animals.
