Often lovingly called the Shepadoodle, the German Shepherd Poodle Mix is a family-friendly dog with all kinds of interests. These dogs love hiking, camping, get-togethers, sleepovers, movie nights in the living room and just about any other activity you can think of. Clever and easy to train, Shepadoodles weigh between 60 and 90 pounds as adults and need regular exercise outdoors to stay fit and happy. Ideal for larger homes, apartments with outdoor access, singles or families, this breed is a good choice for first-time dog owners.

New Hampshire’s colonial history is closely entwined with dogs, especially the working sled dogs bred here in the early 20th century. The modern Granite State is still home to sled dogs as well as pampered pet canines who love spending time in the dog parks and visiting the dozens of trails, rivers, lakes and woods of the White Mountains National Forest.
