The Pom-Chi is a prime example of an adorable and apartment-appropriate pet. Since it is a cross between the Pomeranian and the Chihuahua, it is impossible to say for certain what characteristics your particular Pom-Chi might have. However, they are generally fluffy and foxlike in appearance. Standing between 6 and 9 inches tall and weighing between 5 and 12 pounds, Pomchi dogs are very playful, energetic and slightly stubborn. They are clever and easily trainable, and great for new dog owners and families with somewhat older children.

New Jersey’s favourite dog breeds are the Labrador Retriever, the Golden Retriever and the French Bulldog. Small breed favourites include the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, the Dachshund and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. One of New Jersey’s classiest celebs, Martha Stewart, owns two French Bulldogs named Bete Noire and Creme Brûlée, plus three Chow Chows by the names of Genghis Khan, Peluche and Empress Chin. That’s on top of all her cats, birds, horses and donkeys!
