The Pomapoo is a cross between — you guessed it — the Pomeranian and the Poodle! These small dogs reach 8 to 10 inches in height and weigh between 5 and 15 pounds. Since they are a crossed-breed dog, their size range is wider than that of pure breeds. Pomapoos are loving and very affectionate to their special people, and they are great for singles, couples and retirees. With socialization and good training, they can also flourish in family households. Pomapoos want to be the center of attention in any home.

Michigan is a fun place to own a dog, thanks to all kinds of dog-friendly eateries, hotels, businesses and leisure spots. Go hiking, take a tour, get something to eat and go camping together with your dog—and bring family and friends too, if you want. Dog lovers in Michigan prefer Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers over most other breeds, but there’s plenty of variety in the state’s more than 2 million pet dogs. About 35 percent of households in this state have at least one dog, compared with 31 percent who have at least one cat.
In Detroit, the most popular dog breed is the Rottweiler.
