The Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen is a small-sized dog breed that originated in France. These dogs weigh between 35-45 pounds and have a rough, wiry coat that is normally white, black and tan. Shaggy and adorably scruffy in appearance with long ears and a beard, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen is known for its stamina, endurance and hunting instincts. These dogs excel at hunting small game such as hares and foxes, and may not be good company for other small pets.
