The Pekingese Shih Tzu cross—affectionately known as the Peke-a-Tzu in honour of a certain yellow cartoon character—is an adorable little teddy bear of a dog. Weighing just 10-16 pounds, The Peke-a-Tzu has a short snout and long, floppy ears, and a long dense coat. These dogs need regular professional grooming to keep that coat under control, just like their long-haired Pekingese relatives. Don’t be fooled by these dogs’ tiny size—they are independent and usually prefer walking to being held!
