The Karelian Bear Dog, or Karjalankarhukoira, is a robust Finnish breed known for its fearless hunting abilities. Originally bred to track and hunt large game, including bears, these dogs are highly energetic and require extensive training and socialization. They are loyal and protective companions, making them ideal for experienced owners who can provide the necessary mental and physical stimulation. Due to their strong instincts, they may not be suitable for families with small children.
