Called the Lappy for short, the Finnish Lapphund was bred as a reindeer herder in Scandinavia. Its history makes it quick, strong, agile, and geared up for all kinds of cold or wet weather. A sensitive pack dog, the Lapphund has a strong desire to stay with its family group and can get lonely when left on its own too much. Like other herding dogs, the Finnish Lapphund is extremely smart and eager to learn new skills and tricks.
