The Eskland, also known as Sheltie Eskimo, is a mixture of two loving dog breeds: Shetland Sheepdogs and American Eskimos. This mixed breed tends to be loving and playful, borrowing these traits from its parents. These dogs make ideal companions for families, as they get along well with children and other pets. Esklands are a high-energy breed, and love to spend time outdoors and in nature. So if you are thinking of bringing an Eskland puppy home, make sure that you have the right time to dedicate to its mental and physical stimulation. Given this breed’s intelligence, you can easily train it with a variety of tricks, and so we recommend early socialization and training!

The Sagebrush State is full of contrasts, from the isolated desert ghost towns to the crowded downtown streets of Las Vegas, glowing in neon lights. Just as there are two sides to Nevada for its visitors and citizens, there are two sides of this great state for dogs. Four-legged family members aren’t allowed on the Vegas strip from noon to 5am, but they can accompany you into the gigantic Fashion Show Mall with its luxurious air conditioning and 250 dog-friendly shops! For a break from the city, head out with Fido to one of the stunning hiking trails and campgrounds of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Valley of Fire State Park or Historic Railroad Hiking Trail.
American Pit Bull Terriers are the most popular dog breed in Las Vegas.
The most popular dog breed in Nevada is the Labrador Retriever.
Nevada’s senators tried but could not agree on an official dog breed, so the state remains without canine representation.
