The Chow Chow is a dignified ancient Chinese breed. Muscular and a bit aloof, these dogs are compact and powerful, with a characteristic lion’s mane, fluffy coat and a stiff gait. Weighing between 45 to 70 pounds fully grown, Chow Chows are extremely loyal to their family members. Intelligent but a bit stubborn during training, the breed can overcome its standoffishness with strangers with socialization training. This breed is famously clean and odour-free compared to other dog breeds.
