The Broholmer is a large Danish dog, weighing from 90 to 150 pounds fully grown. Muscular and visually intimidating, it’s easy to see why these dogs have a history as guards and watch dogs. Ironically, Broholmers aren’t the least bit aggressive or violent, and really just prefer to have a nice time with friends or get to know the new neighbours. These massive lap dogs love to play, snuggle, go on trips and spend time with the people they love.

Nebraska is a dog-friendly state where most households can own as many as 5 dogs or cats! There are statewide restaurants, breweries, beaches, parks and hiking trails to keep your four-legged family members happy and fit. The McConaughy State Recreation Area has dog-friendly stretches of beach where pups can frolic on-leash, plus you and your dog are welcome at multiple hiking and biking trails. Dog-loving citizens of—and visitors to—Nebraska can join in on many exciting cultural tours, including the Driftwood Paddle Adventures in Omaha, Museum of the Fur Trade in Carlton, and the Happy Jack Chalk Mine in Scotia.
Many Nebraskans can apply for permits to own as many as ten pets per household, as long as they have at least one acre of land.
The favourite dog breed in Nebraska is the Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier.
