The Bolognese is a toy breed with a fluffy white coat and an easy-going attitude. Weighing between 6 and 10 pounds, Bolognese dogs are less energetic than most other small dogs, and can be a little shy with strangers at first. Calm yet playful, these dogs prefer constant companionship and are not suited to a household that is often empty for hours at a time. Bolognese need regular grooming to maintain their soft, fluffy coats.
