If you're searching for a strong and fearless companion, the Boerboel might be your perfect fit. With roots in South Africa, the Boerboel was originally bred as a large, powerful dog to protect homes from predators and unwelcome guests. But despite their formidable looks, Boerboels have a gentle side and adore being around their human family, making them surprisingly good choices for families with children. If you're bringing this breed home, keep in mind that Boerboels requires consistent training from an early age given their strong-willed temperaments.
