The Black Russian Terrier, also called the Chornyi Terrier, originates in the USSR and the breed dates back to the 1940s. These dogs reach about 75 centimetres in height and weigh between 45 and 50 kilograms. Bred as a guard dog, Black Russian Terriers develop loyal and fierce connections with children and will protect them.
