If you're considering a Bergamasco Sheepdog, you're looking at an extraordinarily unique breed! Known for their distinctive, matted coat, these dogs are hardy, resilient, and perfect for those who crave a unique, energetic, yet low-maintenance companion. Highly intelligent and attentive, Bergamascos are dedicated to their families, showing loyalty and protective instincts that make them great as both companions and watchdogs. However, this breed needs ample mental stimulation to prevent boredom, so interactive play and training sessions are a must. Lastly, with their roots in herding, these dogs appreciate a good romp in a secure, open space, making them well-suited for homes with access to an outdoor area.
