The Australian Terrier is a small terrier dog that hails from Australia. This breed was originally developed to hunt vermin and small game like rabbits. Australian Terriers are known for their spirited personalities and for serving as friendly family companions. They form close and loyal bonds with their families. Australian Terriers are very energetic and can reach speeds of 18 miles per hour given their history as vermin hunters. This breed is highly energetic and requires daily mental and physical stimulation for good behavior. Daily play sessions, whether indoors or outdoors, will help your Australian Terrier pup stay happy and healthy.
