The Anatolian Shepherd Dog is a traditional working dog whose lineage can be traced back to the sheep herders of Turkey. Boasting the intelligence of a shepherd dog and the patience of a family pet, these dogs are very loyal. Growing as large as 150 pounds in adulthood, the Anatolian Shepherd Dog is a bold and strong guardian of human, canine and feline family members. These dogs may be a little strong-willed for first-time dog owners.
