Weighing in at around 60-70 pounds fully grown, the American Foxhound is an easy-going dog that makes a good friend and a great family member. These dogs were originally bred as hunting dogs and are well known for their speed, agility and sense of smell. Many American Foxhounds are trained for agility events and dog shows because of their talents and good looks, but the breed does well at home with kids and other family pets, too.
