The Pitsky is the logical result of a cross between the American Pit Bull Terrier and the Siberian Husky. High intelligent, boldly confident and very energetic, the Pitsky is best suited to an experienced dog owner who can maintain its training. These dogs must be socialized properly before being introduced to other dogs and animals, but once they learn their manners, they are happy to make friends. Pitskys do best with active owners who are as confident and energetic as they are.

The north-eastern coastal state of Massachusetts was one of the first regions of the Americas where Europeans settled a few centuries ago. When settlers came to these shores, they often brought their canine companions along with them. There were two dogs on the Mayflower, and they didn’t take the long voyage from England just to keep their families company! Dogs were working animals in the early European settlements of Massachusetts, protecting livestock from wolves, foxes and other predators. Most of those first immigrant dogs were Mastiffs, Greyhounds and English Setters. By 1784, there were an estimated 30,000 dogs in the entire state.
Massachusetts dogs Duke and Huntah have sniffed out COVID-19 at more than a dozen schools in the state.
The Massachusetts state dog is named after the capital city: the Boston Terrier.
