This intelligent working dog is a mix between the Catahoula Leopard Dog and the Siberian Husky. The Leopard Husky ranges in size from a minimum of 30 pounds to a maximum of about 90 pounds, depending on its particular mixture of genetic traits. Friendly and tireless, as well as adaptable to cool or warm weather, this breed does very well in farm settings where there is plenty of room to run around. In fact, the Leopard Husky is a natural herder who will love to help out on the ranch!

The Pennsylvania state dog is none other than the regal and formidable Great Dane, a dog breed that worked hard alongside its early European settler companions. The state legislature formalized the standing of the state dog in 1965, stating: "...WHEREAS, the physical and other attributes of the Great Dane, to wit: size, strength, beauty, intelligence, tolerance, courage, faithfulness, trustworthiness and stability exemplify those of Pennsylvania.” As for the household dog owners of Pennsylvania, their other favourites include Pit Bulls, Rottweilers and German Shepherds, plus a host of Doodle Dogs. Dog owners in the Keystone State enjoy access to miles and miles of dog-friendly hiking trails.
The Kennel Club of Philadelphia Dog Shows has been an (almost) annual event since 1879.
Pennsylvania allows dogs at more than 50 of its state parks.
