The stout, stocky body, triangular eyes, and rounded snout of the bull terrier make this dog impossible to miss. Standing between 46 and 56 centimeters in height and weighing between 20 and 25 kilograms, bull terriers are playful, friendly and strong. They have big personalities that thrive on regular human socialization, early training, and plenty of fresh air and exercise. Bull terriers do not require much grooming, and even once-weekly brushing is enough to keep their short coats in good condition.

Whether you’re in the Bluegrass State for business, pleasure, or because it’s your full-time home, you can rest assured there are plenty of fun ways to spend time there with your dog. Start with a popular dog park, such as the one at Highland Hills Park in Fort Thomas, and then get your own special treat at one of Kentucky’s canine-friendly pubs.
