The Beabull is a mixed breed that combines the Beagle with the Bulldog. Puppies may be born with any combination of genetic traits! Most Beabulls have stocky legs, a wrinkled muzzle and a classic Beagle howl—but some look almost identical to one parent. Patient with children, the Beabull loves being part of a family and is extremely loyal. These dogs are happy to share their homes with other pets but may need an experienced trainer who won’t be fooled by their stubborn ways.

The Pennsylvania state dog is none other than the regal and formidable Great Dane, a dog breed that worked hard alongside its early European settler companions. The state legislature formalized the standing of the state dog in 1965, stating: "...WHEREAS, the physical and other attributes of the Great Dane, to wit: size, strength, beauty, intelligence, tolerance, courage, faithfulness, trustworthiness and stability exemplify those of Pennsylvania.” As for the household dog owners of Pennsylvania, their other favourites include Pit Bulls, Rottweilers and German Shepherds, plus a host of Doodle Dogs. Dog owners in the Keystone State enjoy access to miles and miles of dog-friendly hiking trails.
The Kennel Club of Philadelphia Dog Shows has been an (almost) annual event since 1879.
Pennsylvania allows dogs at more than 50 of its state parks.
