The Alapaha Blue Blood bulldog was developed in the American South as a special type of herding dog that worked with unruly farm animals. These dogs are extremely muscular and strong, as well as confident and alert. Though they are loyal and affectionate to their family members, Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldogs tend to be aloof towards unknown humans and dogs. When socialized from an early age, members of this breed can get along with other types of pets.
